Assistant or Associate Professor

Kean University, Department of Advanced Studies in Psychology/Psy.D. Program in Combined School and Clinical Psychology, and M.A./Professional Diploma Program in School Psychology - Assistant or Associate Professor Rank, ten-month, full-time tenure-track position, effective September 1, 2012. Primary responsibilities include: teaching across both the Psy.D. and M.A. programs, advising/mentoring, clinical supervision (in our Psy.D. training clinic), supervision of doctoral dissertations, development of a program of personal scholarship, and appropriate departmental and University service. Our department is strongly committed to the evidence-based practice of clinical and school psychology, and stresses the integration of science and practice throughout all curricular and training experiences. The successful candidate will have a defined specialty within child-clinical and/or school psychology, as evidenced by peer reviewed scholarly publications and national conference presentations, and have the potential for extramural funding. The successful candidate will also demonstrate experience in graduate level teaching, and potential for supervision of doctoral level clinical and research activities within their specialty area. Candidate must hold a doctoral degree in clinical, school, or combined clinical-school psychology from an APA-accredited program; be licensed or license-eligible as a psychologist in the State of NJ; and have appropriate clinical, research, and teaching experience.

Part-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Psychiatrist in South Philadelphia-based private practice is seeking a part-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to provide psychiatric services to adults (18-60 yrs.) and/or children (10-17 yrs.). This provider should possess (or be willing to apply for) the required credentials to be eligible to provide services billable to private insurances and Magellan. Job requirements include possession of (or eligibility for) current medical liability insurance policy. Pay rate is $40.00 per hour.

Brief Description of Position:

  • Complete psychiatric evaluations and medication management assessments.
  • Provide referral assistance as needed.
  • Collaborate with other members of a patient's treatment team where indicated.
  • Maintain the necessary documentation in record/chart of clients to meet State Regulatory Standards.
  • Attend scheduled staff and supervision meetings.

Assistant Professor position in Clinical Psychology

The Institute for Graduate Clinical Psychology at Widener University is seeking applications for a 10-month, tenure-track assistant professor position in Clinical Psychology starting in the Fall of 2012. Candidates are being sought who have research and teaching experience in the area of diversity/multiculturalism (an area of particular focus is human sexuality, but other areas of interest are also welcome). Assistant Professor of Psychology

Chestnut Hill College has an opening at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning in Fall 2011. The candidate will teach courses in both the master's program and in the APA-accredited Psy.D. Program in Clinical Psychology. We are seeking a candidate with a strong identification with a modern psychodynamic (object relations) perspective along with relevant training and experience within this model. The candidate will teach courses in psychodynamic theory and technique as well as courses selected from among the following: human development, psychopathology, diversity, personality theory, legal and ethical issues, and/or research design. This is a tenure-track, 12-month position. In addition to teaching two or three graduate courses in each of three semesters, the position requires service on dissertation committees and other duties typically associated with a full-time faculty appointment. Candidates must have a Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology, must be licensed or license-eligible in Pennsylvania, must have clinical experience, and must maintain involvement in clinical practice or consultation. Staff Psychologist

Penn State Harrisburg's Department of Counseling and Disability Services is accepting applications for a Staff Psychologist. Duties: Provide counseling and psychological services for individuals, couples and groups that seek help for emotional and behavioral concerns. Evaluate for potential referral to a more appropriate service provider and facilitate referral if needed. Maintain presence in campus community through counseling services programming, consultations with faculty, and presentations to classes and at student events. Supervise Master's level counseling students. Participate with Disability Services team to review documentation of students' disability and determine their accommodations. Coordinate urgent/crisis mental health crisis services. Consult with members of campus community on mental health issues. Attend workshops, conferences and meetings in the field of psychology.
